Given that Goodison Park will be leaving at the end of the current campaign and that their new

stadium won’t be ready until 2025–2026, Everton is hopeful that David Moyes’ replacement of

Sean Dyche would help them ensure their Premier League survival. Chelsea may be able to help the Toffees, who are searching the transfer market to help their cause.

According to The Guardian, Everton is considering signing Carney Chukwuemeka or Kiernan

Dewsbury-Hall on loan from Chelsea till the end of the current campaign. The two midfield players

had been linked to leaving the Blues in order to get regular playing time, but a loan has been made possible because of their £30 million price tag, which has put off several interested parties.

Additionally, Everton intends to shorten Armando Broja’s loan at the club by six months by acquiring one of Dewsbury-Hall or Chukwuemeka. According to the source, the Armenian striker has been diagnosed with an injury that will keep him out of action for the next 10 to 12 weeks. The Toffees want

to minimise their pay responsibility by ending the striker’s time on Merseyside early.

Dewsbury-Hall’s signing could be vital

A box-to-box midfielder like Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall would be more suitable for Everton’s needs than Carney Chukwuemeka because they need a player who can contribute equally on both ends of the pitch. Although the latter is superior defensively, it has little offensive potential and is mediocre with the ball.

Everton has not yet started talks with Chelsea about the situation, and even though the entrance of a midfield player from West London will ensure their usefulness, the Toffees will have to put in a lot of effort to persuade the Chels to release their players at this time.
