ES Troyes Cyriaque Irié has signed a four-year contract with Leicester City, which will keep…

Earlier this month, we discussed speculations from France that Leicester City could compete with RC Lens for ES Troyes AC’s Cyriaque Irié in the winter market. It was also stated that the Foxes may need to move soon because the Ligue 1 team is increasing their efforts.

Foot Mercato journalist Sébastien Denis took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to deliver the most recent updates on Leicester and Lens.

He claims Lens made an initial bid on Thursday evening that included €7.5 million in fixed fees and €2.5 million in bonuses.

This did not persuade the Ligue 2 club, owned by the City Football Group. Denis adds that Troyes has had a ‘concrete approach’ from Leicester.

According to Foot Mercato‘s website, Troyes has yet to answer to Lens’ first bid, but is unlikely to accept it.

That’s because it falls short of their demand, which isn’t specified.

Ruud van Nistelrooy’s squad is also’very keen’ in the winger. According to the source, Troyes is in talks with Leicester, who will have to outbid Lens to get Irié.

Irié has six goals and two helpers in 22 games this season.
