Date & ‘New’ kick-off time for Boro bet365 clash confirmed as Stoke City Mark Robins
names four changes for return to ST4.
Stoke City’s EFL Championship fixture against Middlesbrough at the bet365 Stadium will be played on Tuesday, February 25 (7.45pm kick-off).
The initial fixture between the two sides, scheduled for Friday, February 7,
was postponed due to the Potters’ progression in the Emirates FA Cup.
Ticket information will be confirmed and communicated in due course.
Stoke City Manager Mark Robins has named four changes to City’s
starting XI for this afternoon’s Championship clash with Oxford United.
Michael Rose, Enda Stevens and Nathan Lowe are all restored,
while Lynden Gooch has recovered from injury to feature from the outset in ST4.
Three of the returning quartet bring up career milestones with Republic of Ireland international
Stevens making the 450th league appearance of his career,
while Rose features for the 250th time in league football.
Potters’ Academy product Lowe makes his 50th senior appearance with 20 career goals already to his name following a prolific loan spell at Walsall.
Meanwhile, Ben Pearson returns to the City matchday squad following a lengthy injury absence,
with the experienced midfielder joined among the substitutes by Club Captain Ben Gibson,
who hasn’t featured for four weeks due to injury.
New signing Ali Al-Hamadi, who arrived in the Potteries on Friday,
is expected to feature for the first time next weekend when Robins’ side travel to Hull City.
Although the prognosis is better than first feared,
defender Ben Wilmot misses the encounter due to the injury he sustained at Portsmouth three days ago.
The 25-year-old is one of six players sidelined, in a list which also includes Jordan Thompson, Eric Bocat, Sam Gallagher, Sol Sidibe and Million Manhoef.
Stoke City: Johansson, Tchamadeu, Phillips, Rose, Stevens, Baker, Burger, Moran, Gooch, Koumas, Lowe.
Subs: Bonham, Gibson, Wilson-Esbrand, Pearson, Seko, Junho, Tezgel, Vidigal, Ennis.
