BREAKING NEWS: Leicester City owners fear Ruud van Nistelrooy ‘quit hint’ as tensions reach boiling point

Ruud van Nistelrooy’s Leicester City career has been traumatic to say the least.

As the Dutchman heads into his 10th game in charge, Van Nistelrooy has only won two of them and drawn one whilst all of the others have ended in defeat.

Transfer activity has also been slow, with Leicester signing one player this month and no progress being made on further additions.

It’s a series of events that has left Van Nistelrooy frustrated at Leicester and now there are fears that the 48-year-old could be heading for the exit door at the King Power Stadium already just two months after being appointed.

Ruud van Nistelrooy could leave Leicester City

A report earlier this week detailed the tension behind the scenes at Leicester.

Within the report, details of clashes with first-team stars were most prominent and now, in an updated report from the Daily Mail, it has been revealed that members of the Foxes hierarchy are worried that Van Nistelrooy may quit.

One of his biggest gripes is the lack of activity in the transfer window, with Woyo Coulibaly’s arrival from Parma the only signing so far.

According to the Mail, Van Nistelrooy’s ‘mood has darkened’ and there are now concerns that the 48-year-old could walk out on the club.

It wouldn’t be the first time the Leicester boss has done this after he left his role as manager of PSV Eindhoven following a lack of support from the board.

Ruud van Nistelrooy made transfer aims clear when he joined Leicester

Transfers, or the lack of, have been the talking point of the Foxes this month.

Tom Cannon’s departure to Sheffield United caused outrage from fans and since then nothing else has happened.

After being appointed, Van Nistelrooy had identified four positions he wanted to improve: full-back, a left-sided centre-back, a winger and a forward.

Only one of those has been sorted so far and with less than a week remaining, time is running out for Leicester to give the boss what he wants and improve the side.
