Storm Eowyn creates havoc and cancels all Premiership games due to roof damage at the stadium until the repairs are completed.

The Scottish Premiership match between Celtic and Dundee at Celtic Park has been

postponed for next month, according to a statement from Celtic: “Today’

s scheduled Scottish Premiership match between Celtic and Dundee at Celtic

Park has been called off. Unfortunately, due to the stadium damage sustained

yesterday we have been advised that we are unable to proceed with today’s match.

” Storm Eowyn has been wreaking havoc on sporting fixtures in Scotland,

with Scotland bearing the brunt of the damage. Celtic’s home stadium, Parkhead,

has sustained some damage, and the club confirmed that assessments will be

made prior to Saturday’s match. Unfortunately, we have been informed that we

cannot play today’s game because of the damage to the stadium that occurred yesterday.

Even while this is obviously frustrating, our top focus will always be keeping our supporters safe.

The new date for the match is February 5, 2025, with a kickoff at 7:45 p.m.

Celtic are not the only Scottish club that have faced damage to their home ground.

Their close rivals Rangers also had plenty to deal with as footage showed part of the roof of Ibrox being ripped off.

The Scottish powerhouses, who lost to Manchester United 2-1 in the middle of the week,

won’t be playing at home this weekend. Rather, they will go to Dundee United on Sunday

before playing Union Saint-Gilloise, a Belgian team, at home on Thursday night.

Even though Minnows Morton had to contend with roof damage following the storm,

their game against Queen’s Park is still scheduled to go forward. According to Dale Pryde-MacDonald,

general manager of Morton, “Today’s storm has caused major damage at the stadium and also
