Cesena striker Augustus Kargbo has signed a four-year contract with Blackburn Rovers.
According to a rumor from yesterday, Blackburn Rovers are currently making an attempt to recruit Augustus Kargbo, a striker for Cesena.
The Italian media is becoming increasingly adamant about the possible transfer, and the move now appears to be picking up speed.
According to a rumor published today by Corriere Romagna, Kargbo will depart the Italian team before to the conclusion of the current January transfer window.
The Sierra Leone international currently “wants to try his luck” in England, which suggests that a move to Blackburn Rovers is something he is considering.
After attempting to bring the player to Ewood Park in the summer, the Championship team scouted him during the most recent Serie B match against Cittadella and has already contacted him to sign him.
The €800k bid from Blackburn Rovers does not appear to be sufficient to seal the deal. Kargbo didn’t play in their most recent match against Sampdoria, and Cesena is currently asking about €1 million to sell him.
According to the source, Cesena wants some time to sign a successor, so the Lancashire club will need to finalize the move by January 31st.
