Instead of spending £80 million, Liverpool hopes to make a surprise Everton transfer. A star from Nott’m Forest appears
If Liverpool wants to get Murillo from Nottingham Forest, they will have to pay a hefty transfer fee. According to a source, Arne Slot’s team may instead aim to acquire a player from Merseyside rivals Everton.
Ever since he moved to the City Ground in 2023, Murillo has been excellent for Forest. The 22-year-old has established himself as one of the first names on The Tricky Trees’ teamsheet and has been a rock at the back for Nuno’s side this season.
Forest is only six points behind leaders Liverpool, who have a game left, and is tied with Arsenal for third place in the Premier League standings.
The Forest has a good chance of finishing in the top four, even if it is unlikely that they will fight for the league title.
Murillo’s defensive contributions have been crucial; in his 21 Premier League appearances, the Brazilian has helped Forest maintain eight clean sheets.
TBR claims that even though Murillo signed a new contract, Liverpool is still monitoring the young player. Arne Slot’s team is keeping an eye on him for the January transfer window, even though Forest is obviously not going to sell him.
