A delegation from Everton was sighted on a transfer trip in Europe.
On January 24 (page 6), the Portuguese publication stated that on Thursday, January 23,
the Toffees had a delegation at the Estadio Do Dragao. Spies from other Premier League teams,
such as Arsenal, Aston Villa, Brentford, Chelsea, Leicester City, and Crystal Palace,
joined David Moyes’ team.
With scouts from Real Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen there, elite teams from all across
Europe were also watching the match in Portugal.
Everton sends scouts to watch Olympiacos vs. Porto.
Although it is unknown who specifically was interested in seeing,
it is certain that the Toffees are one of these elite teams.
Despite not adding any new players, the former Manchester United manager
achieved his first victory last week, earning three points against Tottenham.
Even if there haven’t been any additions yet, it’s evident that the hiring process is moving along quickly,
and a player from Olympiacos or Porto might join this winter.
In northwest Portugal, Ayoub El Kaabi scored the game-winning goal with barely 11 minutes left,
giving the Greek team the victory.
Whatever the outcome, it will be intriguing to see who the Merseyside team is interested in
and whether they sign a new player before the deadline on February 3.
In other Everton news, a new transfer priority update has surfaced along with a story of “terribly complicated” leave talks.
