JUST IN: Nottingham Forest is expected to launch a record-breaking attempt to acquire Wolves’ Matheus Cunha.
Yoane Wissa, a striker for Brentford, was linked to Forest yesterday, although it was reported that the Bees had rejected the first bid. The transfer window is coming to an end, and Nottingham Forest is naturally starting to get going.
The 25-year-old, who has scored 10 goals in 2024–25, was then linked to Forest later last night. He seems a little unhappy at Wolves, and since he is delaying a new contract, something might happen. This month, he has also been linked to Arsenal and Newcastle, with reports suggesting that Cunha could cost £80 million.
Nottingham Forest is prepared to make a big bid for Matheus Cunha.
This could turn out to be another Morgan Gibbs-White story. Journalists for Wolves said that a deal wouldn’t materialize back in the summer of 2022, but in the end, it happened.
Kaveh Solhekol, a reporter for Sky Sports, has now presented a new assertion that validates Forest’s feelings regarding Cunha and their plans before the transfer window closes.
Earlier today, he stated live on Sky Sports News that Forest will make a bid that would surpass the club’s all-time record for an incoming move.
The future of Cunha is uncertain. A few weeks ago, he was supposed to sign a new deal, but now that Wolves are facing relegation, he is obviously reconsidering.
