Aston Villa has completed the signing of 18-year-old right-back Kosta Nedeljkovic from Crvena Zvezda for £6.5 million plus add-ons. Nedeljkovic will remain on loan with the Serbian club until the end of the season before joining Villa on a long-term contract until 2029.

 

This acquisition follows Villa’s earlier signing of Dutch forward Donyell Malen from Borussia Dortmund for £23 million plus £3 million in variables. Malen, 25, bolsters Villa’s attacking options amid injuries to key players.

 

In a defensive reshuffle, Villa has agreed to transfer Brazilian center-back Diego Carlos to Fenerbahçe for £10 million. Carlos, who joined Villa in 2022 for £26 million, is set to sign a two-year contract with the Turkish club.

 

To fill the void left by Carlos, Villa is actively pursuing Sevilla’s 24-year-old defender Loïc Badé. The club has initiated significant contacts to secure Badé’s services, with Sevilla valuing him at approximately €30 million.

 

These strategic moves reflect Aston Villa’s commitment to strengthening their squad as they navigate the demands of both domestic and European competitions.
