Leeds United manager warns of ‘brave’ Sheffield Wednesday and hails Owls unity.
In the most recent Championship Yorkshire derby, the Owls and Leeds
will square off at Elland Road on Sunday afternoon. Both teams will be keen
to outscore each other in an attempt to move up the standings.
Farke’s team won both of their previous meetings with the team, 2-0, but the German
was quick to commend his countryman Danny Röhl for his efforts at Hillsborough,
acknowledging that they will have a task in West Yorkshire in a few days.”Overall,
they’ve improved a lot,” Farke told reporters. “They were in a relegation battle last season,
but Röhl did an amazing job of keeping them up, and they’ve improved to be in a good
position mid-table right now, possibly even pushing for the top six.”
They are a really good club that plays hard and has a positive attitude on the field.
They are cohesive as a team, but they also have a mix of championship experience and some talented young players.
“Well, they’re a good team, and we know they’re always a threat because they
can score goals and play with courage. We must be focused and perform to the best of our abilities.
Röhl’s team can move up to seventh position if they win and other outcomes go their way
when Wednesday and the Whites play on Sunday at 12 p.m.
