Leeds United gave transfer instructions to Aston Villa following a harsh Brenden Aaronson point.

Former Leeds United defender Stephen Warnock believes

Emiliano Buendia’s reunion with Daniel Farke at Elland Road would be

“ideal” for the Aston Villa playmaker, considering his limited playing time this season under Unai Emery.

Buendia, a number 10, played 121 appearances under Farke at

Norwich City before moving to Villa Park for £33 million in 2021.

The 28-year-old was out for the entirety of last season after

injuring his cruciate ligament just days before the season began.

The Argentine has not started a Premier League game since returning from his injury, and Emery has used him sparingly this season. While he has started both League Cup matches, he has only played 71 minutes of league action, with his longest stint on the bench lasting 14 minutes.

There has been conjecture that Buendia will be loaned out by Villa this month to allow him to regain his form at a team that can provide more game time. And Warnock believes he’d be an excellent fit for Farke at Leeds.

Speaking to LeedsLive, the former full-back stated, “You can play [Manor] Solomon in that position.” He’s capable of playing there; he moves between wide regions and that position.

“What [Brenden] Aaronson contributes is strong energy and pressure, but he lacks the talent at the top of the pitch to find the final ball.
