Tottenham have a’real desire’ to recruit a defender on loan with an option, and Aston Villa are hovering to kidnap

PSG sought to sell a number of players during the current transfer window,

and Tottenham Hotspur appears to have been interested in more than one.

Spurs made serious efforts to recruit Randal Kolo Muani from Ligue 1,

including sending an offer to PSG following a meeting with the French club.

Finally, Juventus edged ahead of them and may perhaps announce the player’s arrival today.

L’Equipe reports. Spurs are also interested in Milan Skriniar, with Aston Villa ready to pounce.

According to the French daily, Tottenham have a’real desire’ to sign the defender.

PSG are willing to let the 29-year-old go, but they want a

loan with a buyout clause that may be made mandatory if certain ‘easy-to-exercise’

requirements are met along the way.

It’s unclear what type of formula Tottenham or Aston Villa would want.

Skriniar joined PSG from Inter Milan in July 2023, where he was regarded as

one of the top defenders in the league for much of his time.

If Tottenham or Aston Villa can negotiate a discount deal and then get the player back to his best,

it may be a very beneficial move.
