Defensive Reinforcements

Jack Butland is set to return to the starting XI after being sidelined since December with internal bleeding in his legs. Rangers’ recent defensive struggles—exacerbated by injuries to key players like James Tavernier, John Souttar, Dujon Sterling, Leon Balogun, and Neraysho Kasanwirjo—have left Clement with limited options.

Robin Propper has been stepping up, but help could arrive with Rangers reportedly targeting Cavalier FC center-back Richard King. Meanwhile, Marseille’s Bamo Meite is being eyed to replace Ridvan Yilmaz, who is expected to leave this window for up to £4.9 million.

Midfield Additions

Clement’s midfield options are already extensive, but Dundee’s Lyall Cameron could join this month instead of signing a pre-contract deal. The 22-year-old would follow a path similar to Connor Barron’s move from Aberdeen, earning him comparisons as a “Barron 2.0.”
