Naples bid £40m for Man United’s Garnacho, but United Wants £60m

The Serie A leaders first showed interest in Alejandro Garnacho last week when it became clear

that Khvicha Kvaratskhelia wanted to leave the team this month.

They immediately shortlisted Garnacho as their ideal successor, but Manchester United rejected Napoli’s £40 million offer

today. Now that the 23-year-old is waiting to sign a contract with Paris Saint-Germain, Napoli is

firmly set on United’s academy graduate.

Why Garnacho may be swaying towards Old Trafford exit

Just one week ago, TBR Football revealed the forward’s annoyance at having to adapt to a smaller

role under Ruben Amorim, who now prefers Amad Diallo to play with Bruno Fernandes in his

newly adopted system.

Amad suffered a minor injury setback on Sunday, which led to Garnacho making his first start in

six games. He then returned Amorim’s trust by creating a stunning ball for Bruno Fernandes to

open the scoring at the Emirates.

Speaking to reporters this week, Amorim then subtly gave Garnacho advice on how to raise his

game, stating: “He has talent.” He must have some experience playing a new position. He has to improve his indoor game.

However, United is getting ready to negotiate “hardball” with the Naples team. They value the young player at around £60 million and will not accept any lowball offers.
