Just In: Aston Villa and Juventus contact Chelsea as Axel Disasi’s loan departure nears.
According to L’Équipe journalists Loïc Tanzi and Hugo Delom, French defender Axel Disasi (26) is expected to leave Chelsea on loan at the end of the winter transfer season. The former AS Monaco player has agreed with the club to leave Stamford Bridge, with Premier League clubs Aston Villa and Serie A interested. The two teams have contacted Chelsea to discuss a potential transfer.
Disasi follows fellow Frenchman Christopher Nkunku as another Chelsea player leaving this season. Fabrizio Romano earlier stated that “important clubs” have begun discussions to pursue a transfer for the 26-year-old defender. So far this season, the France international has played 16 games in all competitions, with only five of those coming in the Premier League.
The Frenchman joined Chelsea from AS Monaco in 2023 for a transfer cost of around €45 million, signing a deal that now runs until 2029.
