Just In: Unhappy With His WWE Role, Corey Graves Was Removed From NXT Tonight (WWE News)……..
Tonight’s NXT will not feature Corey Graves, who appears to be furious about being kicked off of SmackDown and Raw.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Corey Graves will not be participating in tonight’s WWE NXT.
According to reports, the commentator was spotted passing past airport security in Orlando, Florida, the location of NXT’s filming. After WWE ended his collaboration with Michael Cole, Graves rejoined the developmental announcer crew last week, sitting next to Booker T and Vic Joseph.
Graves said in a tweet on Monday night that he had been informed he wasn’t well-known enough to continue announcing gigs with his core roster.
“Consider pursuing your aspirations. then being informed—without making a decision—that you are no longer physically capable of pursuing your goal. After that, you commit to something “dream adjacent” and become pretty damned good at it. Then you’re informed you’re not well-known enough for your own position when it’s time to reap the results of your hard work. In case you were curious about my whereabouts”.
In 2025, WWE reorganized its commentary staff. As of the Netflix debut on January 6th, Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett call SmackDown, while Michael Cole and Pat McAfee make up the Raw team. Graves became the odd man out on the primary roster when McAfee returned after finishing his College GameDay duties with ESPN. WWE sent him back to NXT as a result.
Graves wasn’t pleased about being demoted from Raw and SmackDown to NXT’s third man, according to earlier reports from PWInsider.
Corey encouraged followers to watch NXT in a tweet a few hours ago. He obviously thought he was still on the show at the time of that posting.
