According to the police, the deceased and her three friends were traveling on two-wheelers to Mahabaleshwar when, at approximately nine in the morning, a speeding truck struck one of the two-wheelers near Shindewadi on the Pune-Satara route.

A road accident in Shindewadi in Khandala taluka of Satara district on Sunday morning claimed the life of a woman employed for an IT company in Pune.

The deceased was identified by the police as 25-year-old Odisha native Rubal Rajivkumar Sinha, who had been living in Pune’s Manjari Budruk neighborhood.

At Satara’s Shirwal police station, an offense was reported. The deceased and her three friends were traveling to Mahabaleshwar on two-wheelers when, at approximately nine in the morning, a speeding truck struck one of the two-wheelers at Shindewadi on the Pune-Satara highway, according to the police.

According to authorities, Rubal fell onto the road and was struck by a car approaching from the opposite direction.

“Rubal lost his life in the tragedy. She was employed with a Pune-based corporation. According to Police Inspector S V Jagtap, her buddy was hurt while riding the two-wheeler and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital.

In this case, the truck driver has been taken into custody by the police.
