Breaking News: Blake Griffin Says the Celtics Are His Career’s Champions: The Nets and Clippers Don’t Make an Impression…..Details
It is well known that the Boston Celtics have one of the most vibrant and devoted fan bases in sports. The unique bond that exists between the players and the supporters at TD Garden has played a significant role in the NBA’s expansion and appeal over the years.
Blake Griffin, a six-time NBA All-Star and former Celtic, recently reminisced on his time with the team during the 2022–2023 campaign and showered the entire organization with accolades.
“I’m a huge Boston fan,” Griffin declared. “I adore those guys.” I was ecstatic for them when they prevailed. It’s like having a completely other experience. There is only one thing to consider when playing as an opponent. You should go play there since everyone there is rocking with you, even if they used to be shouting obscenities at you.
“You have to understand,” Griffin added. “I played in Los Angeles for the Clippers, I played in New York for the Nets. The town is a Lakers town. The town is home to the Knicks. That was the first time I really played for a team where everybody in that city is rocking with you.”
“I had ten dining out experiences. No check.” Griffin said.
Griffin spent 13 seasons in the NBA, being picked first overall by the Los Angeles Clippers in the 2009 NBA Draft. Since then he played for the Detroit Pistons, Brooklyn Nets, and most recently the Boston Celtics.
When Griffin joined the Celtics, he was nearing the end of his career. He was a reliable option off the bench for the Celtics averaging 4.1 points.
