According to reports, the French powerhouses have made a trade offer for Villa’s prolific forward.

In an attempt to strengthen their attack, Paris Saint-Germain has identified Jhon Durán of Aston Villa

as a top target.

After starting the season with 12 goals and recently replacing England international Ollie Watkins in Unai Emery’s starting lineup, Villa’s Colombian gem has been drawing interest from all over the

Premier League and Europe. Durán has bagged the goals despite only starting six games in all competitions this season, with half coming from substitute appearances. His most recent score came

to open the scoring at Villa Park on Saturday in Villa’s 2-1 win over reigning champions Manchester

City.

French champions PSG may have contacted the Villans on a possible trade and hefty payment for

the 21-year-old, according to Fichajes. Randal Kolo Muani, a French forward who arrived in Paris

in the summer of 2023 but has had difficulty establishing himself, is part of the transaction.

After a stellar season with German team Eintracht Frankfurt, Kolo Muani joined for a whopping

€80 million upfront, but he only managed nine goals and six assists in 40 games during his first

season with the Parisians. He has only contributed two goals and one assist this season, and he has missed the last two Ligue 1 games because players like Ousmane Dembélé and Portuguese forward Gonçalo Ramos were picked ahead of him. According to reports, the 26-year-old’s circumstances in

the French city are “irreversible,” and a transfer abroad would help him resurrect his career.

Durán, on the other hand, has performed admirably for Villa and was rewarded in October with a

new long-term contract that will keep him at Villa Park through 2030
