Cowboys’ Micah Parsons Expresses Frustration with Eagles in Explicit Rant
Despite the Dallas Cowboys still having a slim mathematical chance at the playoffs, their hopes would be boosted if the Philadelphia Eagles were to defeat the Washington Commanders in Week 16. However, Cowboys pass rusher Micah Parsons made it clear where his loyalties lie during a heated rant on Thursday, as reported by Jon Machota of The Athletic.
“Nah, at this point, it’s fk Philly now,” Parsons said. “Even if we got eliminated, I gotta crush Philly. Fk them. I hate them now. I see them talking so much on social [media].”
Parsons’ comments may have been driven by raw emotions, as the rivalry between the Cowboys and Eagles runs deep. His fiery remarks could reflect a spur-of-the-moment response rather than a calculated stance. Rooting against a rival, even when it might benefit one’s own team, is not uncommon in fiercely competitive matchups.
Parsons’ disdain for the Eagles may stem from the ongoing war of words between him and Eagles fans on social media. His rant underscores the intensity of the rivalry, which is akin to a Bears player rooting for the Packers—something nearly impossible for passionate competitors.
In this case, Parsons seems unwilling to support the Eagles under any circumstances, making his feelings abundantly clear with his strongly worded tirade.
