FIXTURES POSTPONED: Kansas City Chiefs against Houston Texans Saturday NFL called up following the passing away of a Houston player.

The Week 16 matchup between the Houston Texans and the Kansas City Chiefs has the potential to completely alter the AFC playoff landscape.

Both the Chiefs (13-1) and the Texans (9-5) have secured their spots in the forthcoming postseason this year.

But as of now, no one knows their precise seed. After Sunday, a lot of that could change.

Following a victory over the Miami Dolphins and a defeat to the Indianapolis Colts last week, the Houston Rockets are already celebrating their 2024 AFC South championship. The Texans will aim to try to secure the top seed in the 2018 playoffs with three games remaining.

The status of Patrick Mahomes is a major consideration for the Texans and the rest of the AFC.

Due to their quarterback’s high-ankle sprain, the Chiefs’ long-held number one seed may be in jeopardy.

In Mahomes‘ absence, Kansas City would rely to Carson Wentz, their seasoned backup.
