“We’re not Barca or Man City” – Daniel Farke expresses Leeds United frustrations after Preston draw
Daniel Farke described Leeds United’s dramatic 1-1 draw against Preston North End on Saturday as a “good point” but didn’t hide his frustration over aspects of his team’s performance.
Leeds’ inconsistency away from Elland Road continued at Deepdale, where their equalizer came in the 93rd minute after Preston defender Jack Whatmough deflected Dan James’ cross into his own net. Despite dominating possession and creating several clear chances, Leeds struggled to capitalize. Patrick Bamford and Brenden Aaronson missed promising opportunities, while James hit the woodwork.
The match presented Leeds with a chance to reclaim the top spot, depending on other results, but they remain second, three points behind league leaders Sheffield United. Sheffield extended their unbeaten streak to 10 games with a 2-0 victory over Plymouth Argyle.
