Report: Cowboys CB Trevon Diggs to Undergo Season-Ending Surgery
Trevon Diggs’ season has officially come to an end. The Dallas Cowboys continue to grapple with injuries, as ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Diggs, who was initially listed as questionable for Week 15 against the Carolina Panthers, has been ruled out due to a knee injury and will require season-ending surgery.
Diggs had been limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday but missed Friday’s session entirely. After sitting out two consecutive games against the Washington Commanders and New York Giants, he returned last week to face the Cincinnati Bengals. However, a source reveals that he sustained the knee injury during Monday night’s loss to the Bengals.
While there was optimism earlier this week that he might play, the severity of the injury has dashed those hopes. With Diggs sidelined, the Cowboys are now without four players, including Cooper Beebe (concussion), Juanyeh Thomas (knee), and DeMarvion Overshown (injured reserve).
