This doesn’t reflect well on Trevon Diggs.

The Dallas Cowboys’ season continues to unravel, as cornerback Trevon Diggs has been ruled out for the remainder of the season due to a knee injury requiring surgery. Initially listed as questionable for the Week 15 game against the Carolina Panthers, it was later revealed that Diggs suffered a setback related to the same knee in which he had previously undergone ACL surgery. The recovery is expected to take around eight months, possibly impacting his availability for the start of next season.

According to Cowboys executive Stephen Jones, the issue stems from cartilage that detached, necessitating surgery. Before the game, longtime Cowboys reporter Clarence Hill Jr. revealed that Diggs’ approach to his ACL rehabilitation may not have met expectations, raising concerns about whether this played a role in his latest injury.

This situation adds to an existing narrative questioning Diggs’ effort, particularly in tackling and overall preparation. Earlier in the season, Diggs faced criticism for his performance against the 49ers, which he strongly defended at the time. With two major surgeries on the same knee within a year, there are now serious doubts about his future form and longevity as a key player for Dallas.
