Strategically savvy Celtic secure groundbreaking agreement.
Celtic revealed yesterday that they have extended their partnership with shirt sponsor Dafabet through a new three-year deal.
Celtic FC has announced a three-year extension of its partnership with Dafabet, solidifying the betting firm’s status as the club’s longest-running shirt sponsor. Dafabet first became the prime sponsor during Brendan Rodgers’ inaugural season as manager in 2016/2017, following the conclusion of the Magners deal in 2015/2016. By the end of this new contract, Dafabet will have been associated with the club for 13 years, a record for Celtic.
Despite being the front sponsor on all home, away, and third kits for the last nine seasons, Dafabet initially joined Celtic as a partner in 2015. This latest agreement will extend their collaboration until the 2027/2028 season, marking a significant milestone in the club’s commercial history.
Speaking about the deal, Celtic CEO Michael Nicholson expressed gratitude for Dafabet’s long-standing support, highlighting the company’s contributions to Celtic’s charitable and community efforts. He stated:
“Dafabet has been a hugely important partner of the club for so many years, and we are delighted to agree to this new extension. It is through the club’s strong fundamentals that we continue to attract and deliver such quality partnerships.”
Dafabet also celebrated the announcement via their social media, saying:
“We are proud to announce a three-year contract extension with Celtic FC. This deal will make Dafabet the longest shirt partnership in the Club’s history! We wish the Club the best of luck and continued success both on and off the park.”
This landmark agreement underscores the strength of Celtic’s commercial appeal and the enduring relationship between the club and its valued partner.
