Cowboys OL Tyler Smith’s intriguing message for North Crowley High raises eyebrows ahead of the state semifinal.
In Texas, high school football playoffs take center stage this time of year as teams compete in the state semifinal round for a chance to reach the championship at AT&T Stadium.
In the top classification, the unbeaten North Crowley Panthers will face the nationally ranked No. 3 Duncanville Panthers at Eagle Stadium in Allen.
Duncanville is aiming for their third straight 6A Division I state title. For North Crowley, it’s a chance to bring a Fort Worth team to the prestigious state championship game for the first time since Arlington Heights achieved the feat in 1948.
In the segregated PVIL division, Fort Worth Kirkpatrick claimed the state title in 1965.
