BREAKING NEWS: Rangers tipped to sack Philippe Clement as fans express outrage to part ways with the Belgian coach
Abundantly clear now for Rangers fans is that Philippe Clement must go. This is a post-match reaction, true,
but any Rangers supporter who believes this guy is the right manager for the club at this time is extremely misguided, and while it will be an expensive sack, it has to be done.
Unfortunate that John Bennett, under huge stress and illness-impaired judgement persuaded Clement to
remain in the job after the Belgian threatened to leave, by way of an extension to his deal and wage rise.
This has now trapped Rangers into an expensive firing, one which will cost into the millions,
but sadly it has to be done because this manager is out of his depth, out of his comfort zone,
and can’t cope with the staggering demands of being Rangers boss.
Rangers’ latest loss at Killie was probably the worst single performance by a Rangers team in years,
and manages to eclipse many other disasters under this manager – Killie were well-organised, yes, but Rangers’ tactics were, as always, completely non-existent and Robby McCrorie had a pretty easy afternoon in truth.
It’s just not working out, and the longer Clement remains in the job, the worse Rangers will get.
The ex-Genk boss is overseeing the worst Rangers regime,
aside 2012-2018 – and some might argue he’s as bad as Pedro. He probably is.
He is evidently worse than Paul Le Guen, and you’d have to go back a very long time in history to find a worse Rangers than he has built.
For many fans the final straw was seeing two forwards go off, two defenders come on when chasing a goal, before Kieran Dowell made his obligatory appearance from the bench.
Even Michael Beale was a better manager than this. He signed better players and while his ideas ended up not working, his stats exceed Clement’s.
It’s time for the Belgian and Rangers to part company.
