Live: Bournemouth vs. Ipswich News, updates, score, match analysis, and reports about Premier League teams
Manager Kieran McKenna has challenged Ipswich to take their performance to a new level as they chase their first home win of the season.
Ipswich are languishing in the relegation places with nine points from their opening 14 matches, and have suffered consecutive 1-0 defeats, at Nottingham Forest, and at home to Crystal Palace.
But speaking ahead of Sunday’s visit clash against Bournemouth at Portman Road, McKenna said: “All of our games are an opportunity to get points, and this fixture is no different in that matter.
“Of course, with two home games back-to-back, you want to get performances, first and foremost, and try and take the game to another level on Sunday.
“We are trying to get as many points as we can, so we are going to do everything we can to get some on Sunday.”
Iraola backs Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen to score more goals
Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola believes teenage defender Dean Huijsen could become a regular on the scoresheet following his history-making winner in Thursday’s 1-0 victory over Tottenham.
Aged 19 years and 235 days, Huijsen took the title of the Cherries’ youngest Premier League goalscorer from team-mate Alex Scott by nodding home a perfectly-executed training-ground corner routine.
The Netherlands-born Spain Under-21 international, a summer signing from Juventus, was making only his third top-flight start for the south-coast club.
