Il Napoli ha appena venduto il suo centrocampista Wantaway alla Lazio per un’offerta di 12 milioni di euro dopo aver confermato l’uscita – Dettagli.
Lazio is getting closer to signing Michael Folorunsho, a midfielder for Napoli,
but they want to clear space in the roster by moving a player who isn’t involved in the present project first.
Recently, the 26-year-old has become the front-runner to support
Marco Baroni’s middle of the park. The Italy international is on Napoli’s
transfer list after losing Antonio Conte’s favor, and the Biancocelesti are
looking to bring him back to the Italian capital. The two had successful partnerships at Reggina and Hellas Verona.
Lazio Closing in on Folorunsho
According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedullà, Lazio and Folorunsho
are both hellbent on reaching the finish line, and this could ensue
sooner rather than later thanks to a positive meeting that ensued recently.
The source expects the attacking midfielder to cost the club circa €12 million.
The journalist explains that Folorunsho’s status as a Lazio youth product will allow
the club to register him on the Serie A and UEFA lists without any issues.
Yet, the capital side is determined to trim the squad before Folorunsho’s arrival.
The most likely candidate to depart is Toma Basic who returned to Formello following a loan spell at Salernitana.
Pedullà doesn’t expect Lazio to close the operation in the next few days,
but the signatures could come following the first round of the Serie A campaign.
Moreover, Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims Lazio are hoping to
secure a two-year loan deal with an obligation to buy afterwards.
