HERE WE GO: Rangers ‘Closing In’ On first Signing Of January Transfer Window
Journalist Fabrizio Romano claims that Rangers is among the “several clubs” interested in acquiring Anass Salah-Eddine,
a left-back for Ajax.
Although other teams may yet enter the race before next week’s transfer deadline,
it is said that both the Gers and Torino are considering loan offers for the Netherlands Under 21 international.
Salah-Eddine is a feasible goal for Phillipe Clement’s team because Ajax is apparently willing to allow him to leave on a temporary basis this month.
Mohamed Diomande, a midfielder for FC Nordsjaelland, may fetch up to £5.7 million for the club,
thus any future acquisitions would need to be inexpensive.
Why is the defender of interest to Rangers?
With teams eager to bring Ridvan Yilmaz back to Turkey, there has been much conjecture on his future at the club.
It will be necessary to sign a replacement left-back as soon as possible because Borna Barisic’s contract expires at the end of the current campaign.
Salah-Eddine seems to be one of the choices being considered, based on Romano’s knowledge.
