Inter Milan Linked With Shock January Move for Ex-PSG and Italy Star
Inter Milan is reportedly interested in signing Marco Verratti, a former PSG and Italy midfielder, from Qatari club Al-Arabi in the January transfer window, according to Spanish outlet Marca (via FCInterNews). However, his high wages may pose a challenge for European clubs.
Verratti, an Italian international, now plays for Al-Arabi in the Qatar Stars League after joining the club from Paris Saint-Germain last summer.
However, it has not worked out so well for Veratti and his present team. Al-Arabi are currently at the bottom of Qatar’s top flight standings.
Verratti is therefore hoping for a move away. Possibly as early as the January transfer window.
Marca reports that Marco Verratti, a 32-year-old Italian international who previously played for Pescara in Serie B, is rumored to be interested in a January move to Serie A. Verratti joined PSG in 2012 and has spent over a decade in the French capital.
However, Verratti’s wages would obviously present a significant obstacle. The former PSG man earns around €30 million net per season with Al-Arabi.
