Fox announced that its Thanksgiving Day game between the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants was the most-watched NFL broadcast this season, drawing an audience of 38.5 million viewers. The Cowboys’ 27-20 victory peaked at 41.3 million viewers, making it the fourth-most-watched Thanksgiving game in history.
The NFL remains the dominant force in television programming during both the regular season and playoffs, standing out as a major success for broadcasters and cable networks facing competition from streaming platforms.
Thanksgiving featured three NFL matchups: the Fox broadcast, the Detroit Lions versus the Chicago Bears on CBS, and the Green Bay Packers against the Miami Dolphins on NBC. Additionally, Amazon streamed its second annual Black Friday game, showcasing the Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders.
