Detroit Lions Reveal Injury Designations for Week 13
The Detroit Lions have announced their Week 13 injury designations ahead of their Thanksgiving matchup with the Chicago Bears.
Veteran cornerback Carlton Davis, sidelined by knee and thumb injuries, has been officially ruled out.
Taylor Decker has also been ruled out for the Lions’ Week 13 game, while wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown and running back David Montgomery are listed as questionable.
When asked about the Bears’ offensive adjustments under new leadership, head coach Dan Campbell highlighted some key differences in their approach, particularly regarding quarterback Caleb Williams.
“There’s more quick game now,” Campbell noted. “He’s making simple progressions and executing them well—bam, bam, bam—working across the field, flipping his hips, processing quickly. If nothing’s there, he takes off. You can see some shifts, motions, and adjustments to create perfect plays, but they’re still sticking with some of their core concepts.”
After relieving Shane Waldron of his offensive coordinator duties, the Bears turned to Thomas Brown to take over the offense.
Lions head coach Dan Campbell elaborated on the changes, saying, “They’re setting up the offense to give him the best chance at success. It’s about adapting to the defense—‘If we get this look, we run this; if we get another, we adjust.’ They’re building in alerts and focusing on the best options for specific scenarios, whether it’s Cover 2, Cover 1, or press coverage. This approach eliminates guesswork, ensuring the quarterback runs plays with the highest chance of success.”
