Rangers officer injured in firing, stone-pelting by PTI protesters
Security sources say all miscreants involved being identified, will be brought to book
Tensions rose on Sunday when Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) demonstrators battled with security personnel at Chungi No. 26 in Islamabad, wounding one Ranger officer.
According to security reports, demonstrators flung stones and fired at Rangers and police officers, injuring one of them. He was promptly transferred to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) for treatment.
According to authorities, all of the perpetrators involved in the attack were being identified. “All malicious elements will be brought to book,” they emphasized.
Previously, as the procession of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and Bushra Bibi approached Islamabad, violence erupted in numerous regions. Miscreants reportedly attacked law enforcement officers under the pretense of protests, resulting in numerous casualties. Police Constable Mubashir, 46, died after a head injury sustained during a heated altercation at the Hakla Interchange. He was being treated at a hospital.

Furthermore, over 100 police officers have been hurt as a result of criminal activity in various places. The injured soldiers sustained wounds to their heads, arms, and legs, and the process of identifying the suspects using CCTV footage is beginning.
In Attock, the situation worsened after three police personnel were badly injured in a shooting near Katti Pahari. Constable Wajid from Faisalabad suffered a bullet wound to the neck and is in serious condition, while Constable Samiullah from Sargodha was shot in the leg.
A third official, Constable Samiullah from Sargodha, was critically hurt in Attock as a result of PTI demonstrators’ stone-pelting. He was admitted to Hasanabdal Hospital for medical care. All three policemen were assigned to special duty in the region.
Dozens of police officers were injured at Katti Pahari and taken to several hospitals. Authorities are using CCTV footage to identify and apprehend the perpetrators of these violent acts.
At least 23 police officers were hurt in a heated clash with PTI workers on the Ghazi Barotha Bridge on Monday, according to police authorities.
