According to the Daily Briefing, Chelsea appear to have received a significant boost in terms of Victor Osimhen’s probable transfer, as his asking price suddenly appears more realistic than it did in the summer.

Europe’s top seemed likely until he made a surprise loan move to Galatasaray. The 25-year-old has continued to shine in Turkish football, but according to the Daily Briefing, he is unlikely to stay for long. It appears Napoli may now be prepared to conducting business for roughly €75 million, a potential bargain rate for a permanent transfer.

Will we see Chelsea go back in for Victor Osimhen?

If Osimhen is truly available for €75 million, Chelsea must do everything possible to close the deal, as that is an extremely low price for a player who would undoubtedly be a major upgrade over Nicolas Jackson.

Enzo Maresca may be pleased with Jackson’s progress this season, but he still has some distance to go before reaching Osimhen’s level.

Juventus, on the other hand, will undoubtedly be formidable rivals in the fight for Osimhen’s signature, with the Serie A club seeking for a possible successor for Dusan Vlahovic, as there appears to be no movement in securing a new contract for the Serbia international.

It will be interesting to see whether Osimhen wants to return to Italian football or compete in the Premier League.

Chelsea will undoubtedly aim for the latter, but they also have other front-line options on their radar, including Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap and Brighton’s Evan Ferguson, according to TEAMtalk.
