A fitness test update for Jarrad Branthwaite is released prior to Everton vs. Brentford.
According to Ben Dinnery, Jarrad Branthwaite has a 75% chance of playing for Everton against Brentford at Goodison Park.
The defender will have a late fitness test before Saturday’s match (November 23), according to the injury expert’s Premier Injuries website [22 November].
Branthwaite returned early from duties with the England senior team during the November international break due to another injury, which he is now recovering from.
Sean Dyche stated in a statement on Thursday, November 21, that he is “hopeful” Branthwaite will be eligible for selection against Brentford.
If healthy, Jarrad Branthwaite must start for Everton.
Under-fire manager Dyche will be concerned by Branthwaite’s inability to stay healthy throughout the season.
Since Branthwaite started last season, Everton has amassed 1.3 points per game and a 35% victory rate in the Premier League, according to Opta.
Without him in the starting lineup, that falls to a 17 pet cent victory rate and 0.8 points per game, which is a somewhat concerning dip.
As a matter of fact, Branthwaite has started eight of Everton’s recent league games, and they have only lost one of those games.
