Charles III, the King of Britain, passed away today after suffering a head injury in a bathroom sink.

On November 18, the British royal family announced the death of the queen’s cherished dog, Beth.

“A sad farewell to Beth, The Queen’s much-loved companion from @Battersea Dogs and Cats Home,” the official Instagram account of King Charles and Queen Camilla tweeted.

“Whether on walkies, assisting with official duties, or curled up by the fire, Beth brought such joy.”

The article featured adorable pictures and videos of Beth walking with the 77-year-old queen,

sniffing Charles‘ nose, and even helping to remove a curtain so that an official plaque could be unveiled in 2020.

Queen Camilla is a royal supporter of the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home in London, where Beth, a Jack Russell terrier, was rescued in 2011.

She had previously taken Beth and her other dog, Bluebell, to many events in support of the rescue shelter. She rescued Bluebell in 2012 after the puppy was discovered wandering in a park in London.

In a statement released on November 5, Buckingham Palace stated, “Her Majesty the Queen is currently ill with a chest infection,

for which her doctors have advised a short period of rest.” “Her Majesty regretfully had to cancel her obligations for this week,

but she sincerely hopes that she will recover in time to attend the Remembrance festivities this weekend as usual.

She expresses her regret to everyone who might have been disappointed or inconvenienced as a result.

On Nov. 13, however, Camilla returned to her work and attended a reception at Buckingham Palace.
