The current plans of Everton regarding Jake O’Brien in light of France’s “significant interest”
Going forward, Sean Dyche’s team has lacked quality,
and they have even been rather leaky defensively.
Dyche is under a lot of pressure because the Toffees are now three
points above the relegation zone going into the international break.
Only Iliman Ndiaye has truly lived up to the hype,
with many of the summer arrivals just not settling in.
Jake O’Brien, who joined from Lyon for £17 million,
has barely had a chance to play under Dyche,
having only made 26 appearances in the Premier League.
Several French teams were made aware of his lack of playing time prior
to the winter transfer window, and Everton has finally made a decision regarding his future.
Clubs in France are monitoring his situation but the report claims that he is set to stay at Goodison Park and continue his development under Dyche.
O’Brien wasn’t expected to hit the ground running this season and in fact, it was seen as a period to adapt and integrate into the team.
Evidently, the club appear to be very relaxed about the 23-year-old’s progression, so talk of a January departure is far too premature.
