Philippe Clement, Rangers manager, is sacked, and an interim manager is set to replace him with immediate effect.

Philippe Clement, Rangers manager, is sacked, and an interim manager is set to replace him with immediate effect.

Robbie Copeland claims that Rangers has entered a “vicious cycle” of firing managers as the likelihood of Philippe Clement losing his job increases.

In his report published in the Daily Record on November 13, Copeland accused the Gers of letting Celtic easily win the Scottish domestic championship by spending millions on hiring and firing managers.

The journalist summarised the sequence as follows: remove the manager; appoint a replacement; initial upturn near the conclusion of the season; summer transfer window optimism; collapse; sack the manager.

As a result, he feels the Rangers are unlikely to pull the trigger and will instead concentrate on weathering the “crisis.”.

He stated, “With so much instability behind the scenes, cash reserves drained, and some signs of life showing on the pitch, the club plainly believes that now is the moment to confront the situation and offer the present manager all of their support.

Rangers in dire financial straits if they sack Philippe Clement

Having already recently reported losses in excess of £17 million, to sack Clement now and pay up a contract running until the summer of 2028 could signify financial implosion.

The Rangers board, already fragmented and in immediate need of significant appointments, would be writing the club’s own death wish once a successor is named, as the club then has to juggle the payments of four managers.
