BREAKING NEWS: Jhon Duran finally speaks on speculating rumor of him leaving Aston Villa for ‘huge fee’ – sources

Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran could be set to leave the club in the near future, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that it would take a “huge fee” for Villa to even consider selling the 20-year-old.

Duran was heavily linked with a move away from Villa Park during the summer transfer window, and he’d even agreed terms with West Ham before the proposed deal fell apart.

The striker ultimately stayed at Villa Park and he’s hit the ground running this season by scoring eight goals in 17 appearances, with the majority of those coming from the bench.

Well-placed sources have told Football Insider that Duran would like to be the first-choice striker at a club rather than playing second fiddle as he currently does to Ollie Watkins.

Duran has become a fan favourite at Villa Park, but he is expected to sit down and think about his long-term future soon.

According to Fichajes, PSG are interested in signing Duran to enhance their attacking options.

The French outfit are light in attacking options at the moment and could offer regular Champions League football.

Duran signed a six-year- deal to extend his stay at the club until 2030, which will put Villa in a strong negotiating position with any club looking to sign him.

Arsenal were another club keeping tabs on Duran, but Football Insider revealed they have been put off a move for him due to concerns about his attitude.

Duran’s behaviour behind the scenes raised red flags for Arsenal’s recruitment team, ending their pursuit.
