Just In: Richarlison speaks out about Tottenham’s “difficult” recent injury
Richarlison speaks out about Tottenham’s “difficult” recent injury
After sustaining an injury during Sunday’s 4-1 victory against Aston Villa,
the Brazilian is expected to miss more time due to concerns that
his most recent injury is a physical blow.
As he assisted Dominic Solanke in scoring Spurs’ fourth goal in
Sunday’s 4-1 victory over Aston Villa, the Brazilian hurt himself.
As he exited the field, clutching the back of his left hamstring,
Richarlison appeared extremely upset.
Richarlison has been evaluated by Spurs this week;
scans will reveal the full degree of the injury and the
duration of the 27-year-old’s absence.
Richarlison wrote on Instagram, “It’s a difficult moment, again.”
“I had a great time playing and working hard, but I got hurt again.”
It’s hard to describe how I’m feeling right now, so please pray for me.
I pray that God will keep me safe.
Richarlison and Spurs, who were very careful with his recovery following
a groin problem that kept him out of action in August, would be
extremely frustrated by another injury.
“We’ve tried to use it to build his fitness base up so when he comes
back and to be fair to him, he’s worked awfully hard.”He has put in a lot of effort,
cut down, and now has a pretty slim appearance.
We’ve attempted to use it as a kind of individual preseason for
him in order to help him not only heal from his injury, which he most
likely recovered from a few weeks ago. However, in order to avoid
having to deal with this cycle of him returning and breaking down,
we have spent the previous several weeks getting him into good
physical condition and increasing his fitness base.
Spurs visit Ipswich in the Premier League on Sunday and play
Galatasaray in the Europa League on Thursday.
