This season, Robin Olsen isn’t really a vital member of the Aston Villa team.
He is playing less than he did in the 2023–2024 season and has not yet
appeared in the Premier League or the Champions League.
He has been connected to leaving, and Swedish team Malmo has expressed interest.
He now appears to be getting closer to leaving Villa, and according to Afton Bladet,
this is because Malmo goalie Johan Dahlin had an injury that will keep him out
of action for the next six months.
Malmo is inconsolable as a result, and they are now eager to get a new goalkeeper in January.
They are now eager to bring Olsen to the club in the winter, despite the earlier notion that
they would prefer him in the summer.
Malmo may be able to recruit the goalie in January for a relatively low cost,
as his current contract with Villa expires in the summer of 2025.
