OFFICIAL: Kevin Thelwell officially departs Everton for a rival team. “It’s time to take on another challenge now.”

Players “will be sold” this summer, according to Everton football director Kevin Thelwell,

who has urged supporters to have “patience and understanding” while the team attempts to strengthen its financial position.

Due to financial rule violations, the Toffees have lost eight points during their turbulent season.

The Premier League commission and appeal procedures surrounding the deductions, according to Thelwell,

have caused “anxiety and uncertainty” and the “impact such matters can have on a club’s footballing operation” should not be undervalued.

He claimed the problems will affect plans for the summer in a letter to fans.

While other out-of-contract players would receive “clarity” on their circumstances,

he clarified that he wishes to retain captain Seamus Coleman as a member of the team past the expiration of his contract this summer.

Goalie Jordan Pickford, midfielder Amadou Onana, and prized defender Jarrad Branthwaite are all frequently connected to interested teams,

but there is still uncertainty around them.

“I also understand that, as with every transfer window,

there is a great deal of anticipation around what business may be done,” he continued when discussing player sales or recruiting.

I can’t go into specifics,

but I’ve been collaborating closely with Sean and other important employees at Finch Farm to plan for the summer window using information and analysis from our hiring team.
