L’AS Roma rischia un infortunio prima della sfida con il Torino – due giocatori chiave non parteciperanno – L’allenatore della Roma esprime ansia
AS Roma faces injury ahead of Torino clash – two key players won’t be participating – Roma boss expresses anxious feelings
s Roma prepare to face Torino in a crucial Serie A match, manager Ivan Juric is grappling with some last-minute injury concerns that could impact his starting lineup. The team’s final training session before the game was shrouded in secrecy, with Juric opting to close the practice to outsiders, including photographers and club staff, to focus solely on tactical preparations.
Il Corriere dello sport report that two key players, striker Artem Dovbyk and captain Lorenzo Pellegrini, are facing fitness issues that have cast doubt on their availability for the match. Dovbyk, who has been in fine form with five goals this season, was unable to complete the full training session due to a problem that surfaced during Tuesday’s practice. The Ukrainian forward’s participation in the tactical drills was limited to prevent any potential aggravation of his condition.
Pellegrini, on the other hand, has been dealing with a lingering foot injury that predates the recent match against Fiorentina, in which he played through pain. Both players are scheduled for fitness tests on the morning of the game to determine their readiness to play.
These injury concerns have forced Juric to consider alternative formations and player roles during the final training session. Paulo Dybala was tested as a central striker in Dovbyk’s absence, while Tommaso Baldanzi was trialed in the attacking midfield position. Should Pellegrini be unavailable, young talent Niccolò Pisilli could step in either in midfield or as an attacking midfielder.
Despite these uncertainties, Juric has a core group of players he’s counting on, including goalkeeper Mile Svilar, defender Evan N’Dicka, midfielder Manu Koné, and the aforementioned Dybala in attack. The rest of the lineup remains in flux, with decisions to be made based on the morning fitness assessments.
The Roma manager is hoping for positive news regarding Dovbyk and Pellegrini, as their presence could be crucial in the team’s efforts to bounce back from their disappointing performance against Fiorentina. Juric is looking for a strong response from his squad to change the team’s fortunes and get their season back on track.
