Rangers coach Philippe Clement reveals stunning revelations about the club’s finances, which you must know.

Both Clement and the supporters of the team are aware that the Gers are experiencing financial difficulties, as the Belgian is leading a summer roster change. According to Scott McDermott, Rangers is still fulfilling the obligations of former managers Michael Beale and Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

McDermott and Scott Burns talked about the Gers’ recently disclosed £17.2 million in financial losses and how much of that money has been wasted in an interview with Record Sport’s Hotline on October 29.

The club is losing money in many areas, and firing two managers in as many seasons hasn’t helped. Operating costs at Ibrox are £110 million [Rangers.co.uk, 29 October], including £61 million in staffing fees.

“Every manager who comes in brings in their own players,” Burns stated. Many of the players that Michael Beale brought in were eliminated, but he believed he was there for the long haul.

[Philippe] Now that he is there, Clement is bringing in players because he believes he will be there for the long haul. It would be fiscally disastrous to just switch managers and squads over and over again.

“They’re also still paying the previous two managers, which is going to hit them in the pocket – Yes, Michael Beale and Gio van Bronckhorst,” McDermott continued.

Rangers are still being held accountable for their prior transgressions.

Both Clement and the supporters of the team are aware that the Gers are experiencing financial difficulties, as the Belgian is leading a summer roster change.

Van Bronckhorst and Beale will both have had similar ideas and visions for how they wanted their Light Blues sides to look in previous summers, but the Bears board pulled the plug on each of them.

If the visitors lose and fall nine points behind high-flying Aberdeen, Clement may also be facing the sack as he gets ready to lead his team to Pittodrie for a matchup at the top of the table on 30 October.

After only one summer transfer window in charge, Clement’s squad makeover is far from finished, but he will be well aware that neither Beale nor Van Bronckhorst advanced past the second round.

Although a dilapidated Rangers boardroom doesn’t appear to have the know-how, resources, or experience to fire Clement right away, it’s obvious that hasn’t stopped them from acting in recent years.
