Inverness Caledonian Thistle sit bottom of League One on -3 points after entering administration.

The fate of former Scotland international Duncan Ferguson was decided by Inverness Caledonian Thistle’s

administrators yesterday with the Everton legend revealed of his duties as manager of the highland club.

Last season’s Scottish Cup finalists currently sit bottom of League One on -3 points after entering administration and

being hit with a 15 point deduction.

Ex Everton and Rangers striker Ferguson had previously been fulfilling his role without taking a wage but

has now been forced to step aside after just over a year in charge at the club.

Taking his place as manager for now will be former Inverness player Scott Kellacher who is from the city but began

his football career with Celtic Boys Club and then as a youth player with the Hoops.

He also turned out for fellow Inverness side Clachnacuddin and for Nairn County in the Highland League

before hanging up his boots.

A statement released by the club yesterday said:

“Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC can confirm that Manager Duncan Ferguson,

Assistant Manager Gary Bollan and Goalkeeping Coach Stuart Garden have left the club with immediate effect

following the ongoing review of the financial position with the Joint Administrators.

“The club would like to place on record our thanks to Duncan,

Gary and Stuart for their efforts while at Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC and wish them the very best in the future.

Scott Kellacher, first team coach, is stepping up to take over as first team head coach with immediate effect.

A full update on first team coaching staff going forward will be made in due course.”

James Stephen, Malcolm Cohen and Shane Crooks at BDO are the people who have been appointed

joint Administrators of Inverness Caledonian Thistle Football Club.

A spokesperson at BDO said at the time:

“We can confirm a formal appointment has been made and Inverness Caledonian Thistle is now in administration.

We understand this will be a difficult and uncertain time for the club, its staff, its loyal fan base and the local community.

The Administrators will be in a position to provide further information and their plan to seek to secure the long term

future of the Club in due course.”
