After suffering an ugly-looking injury against the Dallas Cowboys, star edge-rusher Aidan Hutchinson of the Detroit Lions went right into surgery in pursuit of a swift and full recovery.

Now, it’s been about a week since his procedure, and he decided to give his fans an update on how things are going on his end.

Hutchinson noted that the first days after his surgery were “a little rough,” but appeared to generally be in high spirits.

Always an embodiment of his team’s tenacious collective persona, Hutchinson stated that he’s “attacking each day” as he looks to get back to the field as soon as he can.

The Lions superstar thanked the many young fans who posted videos wishing him well after the injury, as well as his teammates and adult fans on social media offering support.

Hutchinson, a local talent, has long been a fan favorite in Detroit, so it should come as no surprise that there was a flood of positive messages after he was dealt such a tough blow.

Detroit coach Dan Campbell has previously stated that if the Lions are able to make a run to the Super Bowl, there’s a chance for Hutchinson to play in the big game.

It would be quite the mountain for the third-year pro to climb, and Detroit might have a tough time making it that far without their best defender, but with his work ethic and positive attitude, he’s a player who could pull something like that off, if anyone can.

A hot mic always makes for a good giggle, and what better place to have one than at an NFL game?

It can be a mic picking up the athletes saying a bad word on the field or one of the coaches yelling passionate words of frustration from the sidelines. It only adds to the viewing experience of catching a football game at home.

During today’s game between the Detroit Lions and the Minnesota Vikings, referee Clay Martin left his mic on when announcing a penalty on the field.
