“I fear for Eddie Howe” Sack Rumour Emerges after defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion

The project at Newcastle United has stalled.

Things really have been on a downward curve since we qualified for the Champions League in May 2023.

Aston Villa, who also have wealthy ownership, have overtaken us in the pecking order.

I hate to say it but Chelsea seem to be getting their mojo back. They may well have a million players but landed a gem in lifting Cole Palmer from Manchester City.

The defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion at St James’ Park hurt me.

I didn’t expect it and preferred to think that United were finally going to click into gear, especially after a two week break following the

goalless draw against Everton at Goodison Park.

I have heard some fans saying that we played well and that Brighton got lucky. That doesn’t matter. This game is a results business and Brighton are currently a direct rival that sit above us in the table.

Our next two Premier League fixtures are Chelsea away and Arsenal at home. I now fear for Eddie Howe.

So what are the chances of us turning our current form around? We have only taken two points from the last four games. If some out there aren’t now slightly worried or concerned, I would suggest they quickly take a smell and a swig of some strong coffee.
