Manchester city’s preferred Coach Amidst Pep Guardiola Contract Extinction
The Spaniard is out of contract at the Etihad Stadium next summer and is failed to arrange an extension.
Guardiola‘s current contract at the Etihad Stadium will expire next summer.
The Spaniard may sign a one-year agreement to extend his stay at City, but has not decided on his future plans.
Ederson believes City has a succession plan in case Guardiola leaves Manchester.
When asked if his future was related to that of his management, Ederson responded, “No, not at all.
“Today City is a well-structured and managed club with excellent directors and a wonderful CEO.
“I believe the club already has the future manager in mind, when Pep decides to depart, they
shall strive to continue in the same vein of work.
“Of course it’d be a great loss, we’re talking about the best manager in the world, but I see a really well-prepared club for the post-Pep era.”
Guardiola stated on Friday that it does not matter if he was contacted about the England position prior to Thomas Tuchel’s appointment.
“The club has choices for when Pep will leave. It will happen eventually, and they must prepare. It won’t be a surprise.
“I want to be convinced that it is best for the club. I will not delay taking action because I believe it will cause an issue for the club.
